Authorities said on Thursday afternoon that the body of Steven Pladl, 42, was found in a vehicle in NY while the bodies of his biological daughter, 20-year-old Katie Pladl, and her adoptive father, 56-year-old Anthony Fusco, were found in a vehicle several miles away in CT.

The shootings occurred roughly the same time as police in Knightdale found the infant, Bennett Pladl, dead inside the home where Steven Pladl lived.

A judge ordered Steven to stay in a North Carolina residence while Katie was told to live in Dover with Anthony and Kelly Fusco, her adopted parents. The two were parents to their 7-month old son, Bennett Pladl. After police broadcast an alert to be on the lookout for the suspect's vehicle, police from several agencies located and then converged on the vehicle, which was parked on the shoulder of the road with engine running in Dover, N.Y. - about 16 miles from New Milford.

Steven Pladl, 43, was discovered dead inside a vehicle parked in Dover, New York, at 8.40am on Thursday (US time).

Katie Pladl's bond terms required her to live with her adoptive parents, who live in NY, the station reports. The tragic ending comes just two months after Steven and his daughter Katie Pladl, 20, were both charged with incest.

Steven Pladl is pictured with his infant son.

Steven Pladl was said to be still living in the home on Earlston Court.

CT police said in a news conference Friday morning that the man who shot and killed his daughter he was having an incestuous relationship with used an AR-15 in the shooting. "He told me he. oh God. he told me killed his baby and he's in the house", the woman cried.

Less than a year later, Katie Pladl's mother came across horrifying information in a journal belonging to one of her other daughters, CBS 17 reported, citing the warrants.

Port Elizabeth police spokesman Captain Andre Beetge said social workers would be called in.

Knightdale police Chief Lawrence Capps talked about, "We're making an attempt to make sense of all the parts that led as a lot as this senseless taking of life". She and Steven Pladl then began a sexual relationship, and after Steven Pladl and his wife divorced, he and Katie Pladl married and moved to Knightdale. Knightdale police said the boy last was seen alive by his grandmother on Wednesday night, when Steven Pladl asked to take the child home to Knightdale, telling his mother he planned to speak with his daughter via Skype. He could not say how the child was killed.

1998: Katie is born but overwhelmed by the pressure of being a mom at 17, Alyssa hopes adoption will give her firstborn a better chance in life. Police confirmed he had killed himself in his auto after driving across state lines into ny. Unfortunately, they are not uncommon in society.
