Google releases March 2018 security patch update for Pixel and Nexus devices
Again, this process is for diehard Android fans who are OK with a lot of features being broken, and developers. It adds support for nine new ops. Android P will be supporting HDR VP9 Video, HEIF image compression, and newly-refactored media APIs, the post said. Google is adding in new APIs to help developers figure out how best to accommodate cutouts with the APIs managing the status bar area around the cutout. As some screenshots show, messaging apps can include multiple lines from a conversation along with Google's smart replies in the notification shade, making responses quicker while also including more conversational context.
Multiple cameras is becoming more and more common these days, so Google added a new multi-camera API to Android P - it lets developer access "multiple streams" from two (or more) camera lenses. For example, apps running in the background of Android P will not be allowed to access the phone's microphone or camera.
On the other hand, Google will support the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL for a minimum of three years of platform updates, meaning that they should even get Android R in 2020.
Additionally, Autofill improvements will offer better compatibility with password managers, and an implementation of the Open Mobile API will better support secure mobile payments. Apple started using it by default with iOS 11, but there are still many apps that don't support it. Those without a Pixeldevice can use the Android emulator to test their Android apps. Google is also working with JetBrains to optimize Kotlin's generated code.
Targeting modern Android: Google Play will require all app updates to target Android Oreo (targetSdkVersion 26 or higher) by November 2018, with support for 64-bit hardware on the horizon for 2019. This build won't be released to the Android Beta Program, and you'll need to flash it manually. Android now provides a standard system dialog to prompt the user to touch the fingerprint sensor, managing text and placement as appropriate for the device. Google is also changing the defaults for Network Security Configuration to block all cleartext traffic. Google will also enable encryption of Android backups with a client-side secret. We're just two months out from Google I/O, where we'll certainly get more details on what to expect from the latest version of Android. If you find any bugs, you can report them here.

India's economy recovers, posts growth of 7%
During the December quarter, the gross valued added (GVA) for manufacturing grew at 8.9% higher than 6.9% in the previous quarter. This will likely be reinforced by lower portfolio flows into India, as well as a tightening of monetary policy in the US.
