Rams not awarded any compensatory picks in 2018 NFL Draft

Tampa Bay Awarded Compensatory Pick

The Chargers now have seven draft picks in 2018, including one in each round.

Compensatory picks are positioned within the third through seventh rounds based on the value of the compensatory free agents lost.

The formula considered the Patriots losing LeGarrette Blount, Chris Long, Barkevious Mingo, Logan Ryan and Jabaal Sheard, and adding Stephon Gilmore, Rex Burkhead and Lawrence Guy. The Arizona Cardinals earned three of the 32 compensatory draft picks, including the earliest compensatory pick in the third round.

The additional picks could go along way in helping the Cowboys fill needs at receiver, the defensive line, linebacker, tight end and the secondary. He signed a three-year contract worth $27 million after four seasons with the Giants, who hoped to resign their former second-round pick on a cheaper deal.

The formula for determining where in that four-round range a pick falls is not precisely known but is based on the player's salary, playing time and postseason honors. Their 218th pick is their last scheduled pick as of now.

The Steelers now have seven picks including two fifth-round choices and two seventh-round picks.

Since 2015, the Broncos have been awarded a total of 12 compensatory picks, some of which have landed the Broncos eventual starters.

The Baltimore Ravens, who lead the National Football League with 49 compensatory picks received since 1994, garnered just one pick, a sixth-rounder.

While all the draft pick numbers aren't official, the Packers should have the following picks: Nos.

The NFL Draft will be held April 26-28, with the last four rounds on the final day.
