'Get a grip people', Jennifer Lawrence shuts sexist remarks over her sexy dress

Jennifer Lawrence has responded to the controversy over the revealing dress she wore to a winter photo call

"I am self-educated", she told Bill Whitaker in the upcoming episode.

No GED, no high school diploma. However, once she started reading scripts, she found she could understand how the characters felt, a natural talent that drove her to acting.

"I struggled through school, I never felt very smart". "And I didn't want to let it go".

"I wanted to forge my own path", Lawrence said. "They gave her a dress to wear, a dress they wouldn't want covered in a coat". "Even friends, for many years, were not as important to me as my career from the age of 14". Lawrence has scored one Oscar win and four total nominations over the years.

When asked if she regretted her decision, Lawrence said, "No".

Lawrence the reaction of Internet users do not like today on her page in Facebook has the answer all the critics.

Social media users and some fashion portals also pointed out that while her co-stars Joel Edgerton, Jeremy Irons, Matthias Schoenaerts and director of the film Francis Lawrence were all dressed in winter clothes, she was "forced" to play dress up as she was the female lead. "I feel like something that was taken from me I got back and am using in my art".

If you're wondering how J.Law got away with ditching school in her early teens, a 2000 report boasts that "Seven of the states (Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Kentucky, Maine, New Mexico, and Oklahoma) allow students to drop out of school before age 17 or 18 with their parents' consent". No wonder Lawrence just announced she's taking a year-long break from acting.

Lawrence's "60 Minutes" interview will air on Sunday at 7 p.m. EST.

She said she felt "empowered" to do the racy scenes following nude photos of her being leaked online in 2014 after her phone was hacked.
