Wintry mix, snow coming through Maryland and Virginia Saturday

Rain ends Friday night, but who sees snow on Saturday?

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for the entire city from 7 p.m. Saturday to 7 a.m. Sunday.

SUNDAY: Snow ends early in the morning around daybreak. This will help with quick melting throughout the day. In the evening, temperatures will drop back into the 20s with winds from the north at 10-15 miles per hour. There is the potential for a short period of heavy snow Saturday night, which could lead to a rapid deterioration in road conditions. Partly sunny, with a high near 71. The high will be near 54 with a south wind of 7 to 14 miles per hour becoming west northwest in the afternoon. And by Saturday morning, it's going to be pretty frigid across New Jersey, with low temperatures mostly in the mid 20s.

Baltimore's heaviest snow event this season so far was a mere 2.8 inches on December 9 during Winter Storm Benji.

Many areas will be dry, but places that got snow or rain during the day might well have wet pavement by Sunday evening.
