Best Buy Black Friday 2017 Apple Deals Unveiled

As such, Bloomberg's report makes sense: Apple is seemingly trying to ensure its product lines have similar user interfaces and core features. The updated and redesigned tablet is expected to be launched next year. Like the iPhone X, the iPad would ditch the physical home button and instead rely exclusively on Face ID to unlock the device and verify mobile payments. An Apple spokeswoman declined to comment.

So this is how Apple is looking to make a comeback with the iPad.

As you may not know, the sales for iPad has been decreasing over the years.

While the iPad business remained highly lucrative for Apple until 2015, it has recently been generating lower revenues than Apple's Mac and services businesses.

Now the iPad may be having something of a comeback. Now, Apple has had some positive results with rising iPad sales to account for $4.8 billion of revenue during its last fiscal reporting period. Face ID on iPad models is said to bring in the same features it has in the iPhone X. OLED screens more accurately reproduce colors, but are more hard to produce in mass quantities than standard liquid-crystal displays.

According to the insiders familiar with the matter who spoke to Bloomberg Technology, the new iPad model will drop the home button once and for all, but the chance to see it packing an OLED touchscreen display is quite slim.

The new iPad of this generation would be called iPad Pro, the name of this tablet would be different, however it will be the next edition of iPad Pro. Since the device will feature Face ID for unlocking, authorizing payments, and sending animojis, the physical home button will be done away with.

We could expect to see the revolutionary 3D facial recognition feature on the next iPad. KGI already predicted that Face ID will come to the iPad Pro lineup in 2018, and today's report adds several additional details including the possibility of a redesign.
