In what is definitely a first, First Lady Melania Trump used her official White House staff to lambast a recent joke made by Donald Trump's first wife Ivana Trump - who also, obviously, is the mother of another White House employee, advisor Ivanka Trump.

President Donald Trump has praised Ivana Trump as a great mom, but said his marriage to Melania is his happiest.

First Lady Melania Trump is blasting her husband's first wife as "attention-seeking and self-serving" over a harmless joke.

Ivana Trump, the mother of Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric Trump, was married to the President from 1977 until 1992. Speaking on Good Morning America Monday, she touted her close relationship with the President. I [don't] really want to call him there, because Melania is there, and I don't want to cause any kind of jealousy or something like that, because I'm basically first Trump wife. The infamous time that Marla Maples had a confrontation with Ivana during a Trump Family vacation on the ski slopes in Aspen was a topic of discussion when Donald visited Howard Stern's radio show. Ivana is apparently not on good terms with Maples, whom Trump went on to marry and whom Ivana exclusively refers to as a "showgirl".

Ivana considers her own possible title, writing, "First Lady?" I have a ideal life, ' she said.

She loves her life the way it is now, calling it "perfect". "It's better her than me".

"The more comfortable she becomes in the position, the more great work she's going to be able to do", said Sam Nunberg, a former Trump campaign aide.

Also during her wide-ranging interview with CBS, she revealed that her ex-husband offered her the ambassadorship to the Czech Republic but she turned it down so she could keep up her jet-set lifestyle and summers in Saint-Tropez.

She declined to talk about the 2005 "Access Hollywood" tape, saying, "I don't want to go into it". Do you?" I said "Get lost.
