Meghan Markle Kept Away From Prince Harry At Invictus Opening Ceremony

Britain's Prince Harry and American girlfriend Meghan Markle made their first formal public appearance together on Monday, with the couple holding hands and watching a wheelchair tennis match at the Invictus Games in Toronto.

Both were dressed casually for the wheelchair tennis event, with Markle in light jeans and a white blouse, while Harry sported an official Invictus Games polo shirt. And they finally did at the Invictus Games in Canada on September 25.

But while they've been dating for nearly a year, Meghan and Harry didn't actually sit together. The eyes of the world were fixed on this couple, waiting to see them side-by-side, for the first time... the time will finally not take place.

Although they had been dating since 2004, it wasn't until December 2006 that Kate made her official public debut - as a guest at Prince William's graduation from the army.

Harry and Meghan have grown closer, especially in recent months, and recently traveled on a three week Africa trip to celebrate Meghan's 36th birthday and the couple's one year anniversary.

While it's no secret that the pair are dating, they've been notoriously private about their relationship, and photos of the two partaking in some PDA have been far and few between. Either way, with Meghan there everyone was still talking about her and Harry. Harry told fans and the wounded athletes, "I hope you are ready for some fierce competition, you are all winners".

And they weren't just observing either, with Rebecca explaining that the protection officer later ushered Meghan out and away from the crowds before the general public stood to leave.

They added that with the help of royal aides, Meghan has now become more poised and keeps a very neutral expression in front of the camera.
